Grazing at Sunrise
One of the last two northern white rhinos on the planet grazes with head keeper Zacharia Mutai on the wide-open savannah of Ol Pejeta Conservancy in northern Kenya. Keepers like Zacharia have become some of the northern white rhinos closest friends and greatest advocates.
Zacharia and the other northern white rhino keepers are on the front lines, witnessing the tremendous effort being undertaken to revive this ancient species. An extraordinary team from Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, Avantea, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Kenya Wildlife Service and Safari Park Dvur Kralove just successfully created five northern white rhino embryos.
This fine-art photograph will be printed on archival paper which is designed to meet museum longevity requirements.
